There will be a selection of Power-Ups to collect on the route and use as you wish (think tasty treats / water balloons / other surprises). There will be drinking water available at the start and finish, and at the halfway point of both runs.
The best way to find the exact location of the start point is by searching for 'Stanmer Park Pavilion' in google maps.
FInishing: The Brass band Jim's Jazzers will be there to dance you across the finish line. Each participant will receive a specially designed, laser cut wooden medal. Finishing times will be made available through this site. There will be prizes for the fastest times, and the best fundraisers.
Dressing Up & Making Day:
We hope you will get creative and make a costume of some kind. We will be hosting a Making Day with sewing machines and materials on *** date TBC ***. This will take place at the new and lovely Old Tree Brewhouse Cafe from 1pm - 3pm, Lewes Road (next to Brighton Woodstore) BN2 4GL. Join the facebook event for more updates!
There will also be facepainting on the day, so get down early so you can be transformed!
Food & Drink: Some delicious catering will be provided on the day by the aforementioned Old Tree Brewhouse Cafe. We will let you know what kind of treats they are preparing closer to the time!
Amenities: There are toilets and mixed changing rooms in the pavilion, and also showers, which are only to be used if you are not shy, as there are no dividing shower curtains. You are welcome to leave your belongings in the pavilion at your own risk. There will be volunteers in front of the pavillion for the entire duration of the run.
Other Considerations: It is a trail run, so please wear appropriate footwear, especially considering conditions on the day. We are lucky to be able to use the wonderful surroundings of Stanmer Park, so please take care of it - shut gates behind you, give way to other walkers and runners, and please don't leave any litter.
